  1. I have a bunch of DVDs that contain birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, etc. I was hoping I can rip parts of each DVD and make a compilation on 1 DVD. Is it possible? And if so what program would you recommend? TIA

Using DVD Shrink is possible the easiest way to do it. I'm assuming you only have one dvd rom/writer.

1, Open your 1st DVD and hit re-author, drag the parts you want to the left and hit backup.
2, Open your 2nd DVD and hit re-author, drag the parts you want to the left. Hit Full Disc and then Open Files and find the folder you created earlier. Hit re-author and drag the files to the left (where your other files should still be) hit backup again.

Repeat until you have done all your dvd's.

  4. If your just using un-edited VOB Titlesets then go with DVD Shrink. If you want Only portions of the titlesets w/menus then go with the TMPGENC DVD Author
Look, let me explain something. I'm not Mr. Lebowski; you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. That, or Duder. His Dudeness. Or El Duderino, if, you know, you're not into the whole brevity thing--

TMPG Author. Piece-O-Cake, very easy (30 day free trial). And something to rip the pieces with, like DVDDecryptor (also free).

you will need menus since it sounds like you're going to put a lot of snippets on a single dvdr. makes it alot easier to find/view what you want.
