  1. I went to make an exact copy of a DVD+R that I had burnt... Everything went ok (so it seemed) but it only took about 5 min and it said finished making copy successfully. So I went to play DVD and it had only burnt the first 20 min of video?

I was using Recordnow DX. Strange eh? any suggestions? I want to try nero but I don't want to waste another blank..

Use RW disks to test if your standalone will play an RW. Then you don't waste a blank if it doesn't come out right.

  4. rip the entire disc first with dvd decrypter (yes you probably dont need to decrypt cos the disc is not encrypted but it's an easy way of copying your disc onto your hard drive) then just use nero dvd udf/iso mode and pull your files accross, oh and use a rw first too.
I could dance with you till the cows came home..... on second thoughts i'd rather dance with the cows till you came home.

If you got Nero, you can make an image of that DVD+R and then burn the image to the new disk. No decrypting involved.

  6. I have found it faster to rip it again with decryptor...copying the files just seems to take too long.

    Don't copy the files.

Put the first DVDR in your reader.

Put a blank in your burner.

    Then hit "copy" and wait.
