  1. i have some .avi's in PAL region code, and i don't feel like buying a chip so i can watch them. is there any way to convert PAL .avi's or .mpg's to NTSC region code?

  2. You can use TMPGEnc, load the NTSC template and encode.

    I've done it with a dvd rip...it came out fine, no sync problems, and I encoded the whole movie at once and split it later.
