Phillips dvd recorders have some sort of dummy file on the disc you cant just back them up as you would a normal dvd. The I recomend you use tmpgenc dvd I never get a failure using this

I know they don't work in DVDShrink....but I use DVDDecrypter all of the time for discs from my DVDR985....in IFO and ISO modes...don't use file mode for much of anything.

If they wont work in ISO mode....which is a basic COPY DISC type of function....then I believe there is a setting either in DVDDecrypter OR on your computer that you should be looking for. I'm no expert but...that is MY personal opinion.

You don't have to RIP a copy. Just drag the VIDEO_TS folder onto your HD and burn it like usual. Decrypter and Shrink were designed to rip encrypted DVD's, and yer trying to make them rip an unencrypted copy. However, I've seen posts where Decrypter in ISO mode worked on a copy.

Lastly.....using the copy disc function in yer burning software should work also.

  7. If you nero copy function to made copy the quality will be worse(i already tried this).
Finally i use clonedvd to made a copy (quality is almost same as original)and can use dvdshrink to compress and made minidvd.

Ahhh....hooey. Using Nero I've made several copies of backups and they all look identical to the original. It's an ISO image, or on the fly copy, there is no compression or encoding involved. It's just moving data from one disc to another without changing it at all.
