After backing up a DVD and compressing with DTOX (whole disc mode set at 4444mb ala stickie) Toast gives a error not enough room on disc to burn, info on VIDEO_TS gives a size 4 794 000 000 about.

Using Panther .3.1, DTOX 1.21, and Toast 6.0.3

    Any suggestions - THANKS

    Cheers,
    -Lee

Try setting the size to a smaller size in DTOX, like 4400 or something. The total DVD must be less than 4.37 GB.
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté."

The size i put in the sticky was based on testing lots of media, 4444 was the max you could have that worked for most media brands. I found that the default, 4474 i think, rarely if at all fit on a dvdr.

each brand has a few more or few less sectors than other brands. yours must have slightly less than is needed for the 4444mb dtox.

do like WiseWeasel said and try 4440 thats only dropping 4 megs and it may be just enough!
