what channel does 60 minutes come on?
hmmm
60 minutes....to live...old people...CBS!!!! -
With concerns about movie piracy out in the public now, I wouldnt be suprised if the same thing that happened to music, starts to happen to movies...
As you may notice that some music download with programs such as Kazaa, that you get distortion 10 seconds after the music plays... This is what the music industry is doing to corrupt the files, so we cant get them...
Now with this 60 minute thing, and other movie piracy going public. I wouldnt be suprised that if the movies on the net star to become distored at a certain point after downloading the movie.
What do you think? -
It will be interesting if they come up with a different encryption process for movies.

I think its only a matter of time before movies become the next MP3 and everybody is downloading them. With the advent of broadband and certain peer to peer programs making it easier than ever its becoming easier than ever for someone to hop on and 3 hours or less have the latest theatre release movie, albeit in crap quality.
I am seeing it already. In ads for computers they advertise the fact you can download movies or at my workplace the number of computer illiterate people that boast that they got their hands on a copy of some movie from Kazaa. -
with apples new pixlet codec .. i can compress 1 hour to 250 meg - and it looks very good in fact .... in fact better than svcd..

I saw some of it. They never asked the poor pitiful
starving *******(s) (i include the interviewer here)
how many millions of dollars they (made) this year. -
It was so funny watching the Pres of Grokster trying to say that he has no clue what files are being D/L. They also mentioned that he was leaving the co. to join a new one in Spain, my guess is Filetopia. They bill themselves as mega privacy due to their encrption techiques.

I didn't see 60 min but South Park was hilarious this week:Stan,Kyle and Kenny d/l music and the FBI arrests them and make them go to artists homes to see what harm they do.

found this info on another forum
You shouldn't be too surprised at the amount of bias shown. Besides TV reporting being crap for the most part, you should also realize CBS is owned by VIACOM which also owns PARAMOUNT, which is one of the big 7 that form the MPAA. The fact that they didn't even disclose this relationship to the viewer is an ethical violation in itself.
