what is an apex, and a advc, some people have been telling me i should get one of them because they remove macrovision... cam someone please tell me what they, how much they are and where can i pick one up?

Apex is a dvd player brand name. They are very cheap in price, but are heavy in features.

and the advc is probably the Canopus ADVC100 (look under capture cards). It is an external analog to digital DV converter and has a feature to remove macrovision. I've got the ADVC100, only tried the macrovision feature once, feeding the svhs output from my dvd player and capturing on the computer. Seemed to work.
