  1. Please let me known the highest version of ATI MMC successfully working on an AllInWorder 128 Pro 32 card under Win98se.
I'm currently using MMC 7.6 but, having bougth a DVD burner, I would like to use the 48 KHz audio facility of (i think) 7.7 and higher, to avoid audio conversion.
I once tried with a 7.7.0.1 version but it told me that it was for Win2k.

    Thank in advance.

  2. I downloaded a 7.7.0.0 update and 7.7.0.1 version for 98.
First I tried with 7.7.0.1, after removing the 7.6 and restarting, Windows media codec and restarting.
For half an hour everything worked fine.
I was able to capture in DVD, half DVD and SVCD resolution with 48 KHz and quite a good result, the files were ready to use in TDAuthor.
Then closing the TV player and reactivating it, it started to crash on MSVCRT.DLL.
From that moment on I wasn't able to start it anymore.
Scratching everything with a Ghost image, i tried version 7.7.0.0 also, with less success than 7.7.0.1.
    It can't start even once.
I know that the initial advice reports the upgrade only for Win Me, 2k and XP and only for Radeon cards, but i would like to use this version because it produces files ready to burn.
I looked for previous threads about the dll, but they relate to other problems.
I dowloaded three version of it to test.
Is there anyone successfully using MMC 7.7.0.1 on AIW 128 Pro and Win 98Se ???

    Thanks

  6. For those who cares, I managed to make it works.
First i tried the Microsoft Library Update, that contains a newer version of MSVCRT.DLL and in the ATI support site was reported as a solution to this problem.
But it wasn't useful, because i had already tried with newer versions, like the one from Nero, and it worked randomly.
As last resource i tried the WDM capture driver tv-capture-wdm-6-14-01-6178v1.exe available on ATI site.
Now MMC 7.7.01 is working perfectly !!
Obviously (i think) now the programs that use VFW drivers, as AVI_IO, give some errors or inconsistencies but still work.
Hope it can be helpful to someone.
