Hi,
I was able to import to VideoStudio if i changed the plugin to DVD-VR but i can't find anything like that in DVD Workshop. The reason why i am using DVD workshop over VideoStudio is because VS does not support AC-3 audio. Can someone tell me how to import Video_TS source to DVD Workshop?
Thanks.

Won't WS accept the video once VS has captured it?
Hello. -
What i to do is.... Import DVD Home video disc to WS but it can't do it.
There is only 2 plugin choice for Direct show or DSW.
How can i do that? -
Yes, I have a home made DVD Video disc (Video_TS) and i want to import to WS for adding chapters.
-
I would suggest you rip it, convert the vobs to MPEG-2, add the chapters, then burn it.
Hello. -
Just want to clarify that, DVD WS can't import VIDEO_TS source like Movie Factory or Videostudio???
If that's the case... Could you tell me how to change it to MPEG 2 ?
I am very new to DVD editing.
Thanks. -
1. Rip the DVD with a ripper like DVD Shrink or DVD Decryptor. Use the DVD Rip section.
2. Take the files you get from your rip, and go to the Convert section to convert your VOBs to MPEG-2 DVD format.
3. Load the MPEG file into Movie Factory to mak you chapters, etc.Hello. -
Thanks but what about audio???? Becasue my original idea was import DVD disc to MovieFacotry and i can import sucessfully but it does not support AC-3 which mean i don't get any sound at all.
If i do it like what you said RIP it to MEPG 2... Will my audio convert to MEPG 2 as well.
Thanks and appreciate all your help -
Oh sorry, Maybe i misundertand you. It does not need to be AC-3 audio.
My concern is if i rip it to MEPG 2 format. Will audio stay intact? I don't want no audio after i rip it to MPEG 2 format.
Thanks. -
It should, but there are no guarantees. There are however, several guides that can resynch your audio if it foes de-synch.
Hello. -
Hi,
I downloaded the DVD shrink & DVD decrypter. But i can not find where to convert to MPEG 2 fromat??? It only make a copy from my DVD disk. -
Also, you can take a VOB and load it into Virtual Dub mod and frameserve it to TMPGEnc.Hello. -
Some VOB files will allow you to simply rename their file extension to .VOB.
This can be done using some versions of Microsoft Windows Media Player.
Simply open the VOB in Microsoft Windows Media Player and use the SAVE AS command to rename the file's extension to .MPG.
You might give this a try.
Ulead DVD Workshop does not feature DVD-VR support.
However, Ulead MediaStudio Pro described here...

...does support DVD-VR capture and it supports AC-3 audio.

Hi,
Which one will do the convertion??? I want to convert DVD Home video to MPEG 2 format (hope will transfer audio as well otherwise i will stuck again) Then i can import to DVD workshop to do my chaptering. -

2. Use the SAVE AS command to save the file with a .MPG extension.
If this method succeeds, you can simply import the MPEG file into Ulead DVD Workshop.
If this method does not succeed, then you'll need Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7 to extract the MPEG file from your DVD disc with AC-3 audio intact:

After extracting the MPEG file with Ulead MediaStudio Pro, you can then import the MPEG into DVD Workshop for authoring.
Hope this clarifies,
