Encoding video problem

HI

Can anyone please help me, i'm new to all this so please bare with me. I am using unlead dvd movie factory 2 and when I try to encode an avi file to dvd using the automatic conversion after I have made my menus, it always gets to around 60 to 80% and then I get error messages. I can't remember exactly what they say but I've had at least 2 different ones. It has also done this when using tmpegne.

sounds like a bad avi file, why not download winmpg video converter, convert the avi to mpeg (if you can) then burn using you favourite burning app? but sounds like the file got some errors in it or something. i think you can down load a tool to fix avi files, its at www.fixvideo.com it should sort the problem avi out for you.

It now works and the dvd copies fine but when I play it in my dvd player about 20 mins from the end the audio stops and the video continues.

HELP ME!
