I tried to rip a few DVDs and failed to get any sound.
Resident Evil is the movie but I've had it happen to a few others,such as Scream and Scary Movie.I could do Scream 2 and Scary Movie 2 though.A message comes up at the beginning of the ripping process and says there won't be any sound.
If I ignore it,there is perfect video and blank audio.

Can't help you unless we know your methods. No sound isn't a problem that comes up in backing up DVDR's.

I use DVD X Copy in the usual way,but it also does it in DVD to CD-R as well.I put the movie in,adjust the settings to widescreen and whatever and hit 'convert' and thats when it tells me there is no audio data.
