I really want to be able to make a backup of my original dvs because they are dying, I want to be able to just have menu and movie NO EXTRAS. I have the newest version of CloneDVD which I recieved free with my burner as part of the package and i heard u can achieve this. BUT everytime i try to go through the steps - it says u cant make a backup of this DVD because it is CCE/CC protected, so how can i achieve this. Please people help me achieve this.

My theory is if i can put the files on my computer and use a program to remove the protection i may be able to advance to the next phase of conedvd and remove the stupid extras.

Yep, just rip with Smart Ripper or DVDdecrypter to your hard drive first.

Use DVD Decrypter to rip the movie to your hard drive first.

thanks - just been searching, I hate the idea of dvd shrinks still picture.

Bad experience trying that. I chose to still picture the extras and remove the sounds from the extras. and somehow the beginning of my movie was still picture but i dont understand why that happened. Can someone explain this to me...

Because if it comes down to it i will just use that but only if i can fix the problem above.

I've been using this method and works all the time, everytime. DVDxCopy is not free, but it is worth the investment. Trust me.

All my backup DVDs have menu and main movie but all related extras and features are removed. If you attempt to enter the features, it's plays a 1 second blank and return to menu.

1. Download DVD Decrypter

2. Do some homework by looking through the guides on this website for this program and CloneDVD. They are very simple to use.

3. Use your burning prog to burn the files created by CloneDVD.
