I am having some issues with the audio / video syncing with Studio 8. I am using a Dazzle DVC-150 to capture the footage. It seems that when I capture the footage and I edit it together, then put it onto DVD the audio syncs for awhile with the video, but after awhile it the audio comes first then the video shortly after. Also, when I try to use different transitions, especially the fancier ones, it also will lose sync right away. I've heard that it will do this if you capture an hour or more footage, but I tried with just a few minutes worth edited it and it still seemed to do it. Sometimes I would take the rendered file, and produce the DVD with a different DVD authoring program (such as DVD Complete or Moviefactory) and in some cases the bad audio sync was still there (Moviefactory) and in some cases it synced perfectly (DVD Complete). However, I haven't tried DVD Complete with fancy transitions, such basic edits. Any suggestions?

  2. I think every release of Studio 8, after their version 8.5.21, has some audio out of sync, or OOOS, problems. If you have bought a newer version, you may not go back to an older version. If your version is older, then you can download 8.5.21. I don't know the link to the download. But somebody at the Pinnacle Studio 8 forum maybe able to help you with the link.

Here's the link to Studio 8 forum:

I do have a newer version of Studio 8 (I just bought it a couple of weeks ago), and I found the version you spoke of. However, I can't get it to install. It says that a newer version of Studio 8 is already installed. Any other suggestions? Is there anything else I can try without downgrading this version of Studio 8?
