    Is it possible to hook up my DVD player to my computer so that I can use my cd-burner to make a copy of a DVD?

    I believe that you will run into macrovision problems if you try to do that. Here's an idea, spend $30 on a DVD-rom for your computer.

    Do you mean "capture" from your DVD output?
    I think you'd better invest in a DVD-rom.
