Hi,

Until last week I was using the Pinnacle PCTV PCI together with the audio onboard from the Asus P4S533-X. Audio quality was very good.
Then, a few days ago, I bought a Creative Audigy 2. I disabled the audio onboard.
But now the sound quality isn't as good as before. The captured video has a lot of audio noise in the background. I believe it has something to do with the fact that Audigy 2 uses a mix recording for line in, TAD and CD. I left all channels muted, only Line In working.
I'm using the PCTV Vision software. If I record any audio from the Line In using an audio recorder software, like Creative Media Source, this problem doesn't happen, so it's not a cable or connection matter.
I tried to use the WinDVD recorder, but it crashes after some seconds of recording.
I tried Pinnacle Studio 8 and the audio noise desappeared, but this software cannot encode at real time DVD standard resolution. I could only record at 352x240.
Well, I believe I should stick with the Vision software for now, but this audio noise is driving me crazy.

Does anyone have a sugestion ?

Thanks for the attention,
Luiz Felipe
