  1. www.play.com has a good deal on Friends box sets at the moment, season 1-6 are only £17.99 each. Unfortunately 7-9 aren't so cheap £38.99

I have just ordered the 6 first seasons, so my eyes will be well and truely square soon.

Not advertising, just passing on a good deal to all you UK friends buffs out there.

:c) Well, I still think they should give you a discount! I got my Office Space at a great price from you pointing me there. Thanks again.

On cable, Friends is almost 'round the clock, so I don't need a boxed set.

    What's your next movie recommendation?

    I wish

I emailed them a few days ago to see if they would be interested in advertising on the best DVD help site on the net (that means here Baldrick ), not got back to me yet though.

I realise this could be interpreted as spam, but its not, honest :P, just passing on a good find.

What did you think of Office Space Gees ?

I liked it a lot! :cD It was more, I don't know, "lowkey"? than I'd expected. But that made me like it even more.

I really loved how the gansta rap parts and slomo walking were mixed in. Cracked me up! :cD The copy machine scene was choice!

Seriously, it was a really good price. I got it the day it was due out, and I even liked the packaging! :cD

Do you know how much is that in dollars and if they ship to the US? My sister's birthday is coming up and she's a big fan...and if its cheaper than over here(I'm currently very poor), I'll just buy from there. Thanks.

It's certainly worth pointing out as the TV adverts are banging on about the seasonal 'two for one' offer, which is nothing like as good as the 'playusa.com' offer.

One British Pound is equal to about $1.70 USD.

Don't forget, their DVDs are PAL and Region 2.

Play do also sell region 1 DVD's although their prices for the friends box sets are nowhere near as good at £32.99.

Sometimes the region 1 discs are cheaper, but usually the region 2 discs are cheaper. I know when the first season of the Simpsons was released I bought it from play on region 1 because it was only £17.99, whereas the region 2 box set was £32.99

£17.99 at current conversion rate is $30.48. I am sure if you search online US sites you should be able to get the box sets for around the $30 mark. It's just we in the UK are used to paying a lot more than our US cousins for this type of thing.

  13. Well, you guys also have one up on us when it comes to Friends because we only have the first 4 seasons for sale here in the US.

I actually almost bought the entire series when I was in London on a lay-over flight in Gatwick. This was a few years ago so there were no region 1 disks.

And even at $30 USD, its still a fair deal. Stores tend to sell the collections for around $34 each here. You save a few bucks.
