NO idea why but when I run svcd2dvd with a source directory that contains VOBs [which contain svcd/mpeg2 output from ifoedit] the program terminates with errors. From two recent attempts I got the following in the 'send details to microsoft' popup

this is what svcd2dvd log window says - it does create 2 16KB VTS files

convert your vobs to mpgs. (even renameing them may work)

thanks - renaming the VOBs to MPGs did the trick. I take it there is no way to use VOBs [as VOBs] as source if the VOBs contain SVCD compliant data thereby avoiding a lot of reencoding.

well that's good enough for ;-|

tbh I'm pretty new to SVCD & DVD compliant stuff - DivX is easy by comparison but it lacks the nice menus, chapters & standalone-playability
