I captured a 2 hour (type 1) DV avi file. I cut 10 minutes from the end of the movie using Ulead Video Studio 7 and converted to mpeg using TMPGEnc. This resulted in an out of sync file. I recaptured the same movie without any editing and converted the file to mpeg (with TMPGEnc) without any editing and the movie was now in sync.
Can editing make a file out of sync? How can you avoid this?
