Do a search for "info please" or "help" or "problem" and you will find others like yourself who are looking for answers.
Of course, you'll see a great variety of problems and if your answer is in there it will take quite a while to find it.
If only there was a way to narrow it down. If only there was some way for people to actually describe the problem they are heving in their subject line.
Well, I'm stumped, Good Luck
Less sarcastic reply:
If every one's subject line was "Info Please" subject lines would be useless. Someone out there might have some experience with your problem and a good subject line might just get their attention, -
Searches for "help" or "info" would produce multiple thousands of hits. But searching is a good thing. :c) Key is - to use the right key words.
The less sarcastic advice :c) is great advice. You can still do it now. Go to your post, click the EDIT button and change your subject title to something that states your problem like "adapter for PC to HDTV".
Many people skip right over any post that just says "help" even if you say "please". This way anyone that may truly be able to help will spot it pretty quickly.
Keep checking back, then - after a few days - if no one has answered, you can post again in this same thread, possibly by adding additional information.
Good luck.
You've done it. Excellent. :c) Hope it helps. There's no place like 127.0.0.1

I guess you must have edited your question before I got here. Yes you can connect your XGA connection to your HDTV with the component input. You must have an RGB input on your HDTV. Then you need a cable that combines the H sync and V sync to make composite sync, and add it to the RGB signals. There are a few of these types of adaptors available. Check here:

they should have some links for you to check out. Sorry I can't remember the retail stores that carry such things right now.Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they? -
I should also add that there are several HDTV tuner cards for computers that will connect the computer to your HDTV to watch ATSC signals as well as recorded HD streams, and DVD (mpeg) sources. They normally have a pass through type of connection for the video card, so the computer can be seen on the HDTV too.
VGA--->HDtunercard--->HDTV RGB input
Like that.Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they? -
thank's Village for your info, but my tv doesn't have vga input, only component.
-
Only component would be RGB, so you need to find the correct adaptor to connect them.

computer output is rgbhv and many video projectors can take this directly with a 15pin to 5 wire breakout cable -- even a 4 wire cable will work ..
for component - you need a rgbhv to component convertor
component (as used on dvd and tvs and tape machines and broadcast equipment) is chroma/color difference (YCbCr, YPbPr or YUV)
s-video is also a type of component in reality .."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
