I am trying to convert DVD files to mpeg with FlaskMPEG with bbMPEG selected. When I use both, I get a very large mpeg file with MPEG-1 selected. I tried to select VCD option, but I keep error a invalid setting error when I click on start. How can I create a MPEG with Flask and bbMPEG, which will produce a small enough mpeg-1 to fit in 1 cd? How do I get the VCD option to work?

    Thanks,

  2. A video CD must comply certain rules.
The most common errors in flaskmpeg ocurrs because:

On output options, Audio, you should uncheck mantain frecuency and choose 44100

On video, if you are working on NTSC choose 320x240 and if you are making PAL, choose 320x288

When you first load the IFO file look at the total time. Go into Options/ Global Movie options. On the last tab (General) unselect compile whole movie, and enter the total time in seconds. If not BB will think your movie is 300,000 frames (~3 hours!).

Video should 352x240 for NTSC, 352x288 for PAL. Under audio select decode audio, uncheck same as input, and make sure the bullet is next to 44100HZ.

Hit start conversion, BB pops up, select settings. Under video stream select VCD. Under Program stream select VCD. Then encode.

    Disturbed1,

Thanks for the expert advice. I did not change any default settings. That explains why bbMPEG continue processing the frames even though Flask had already finished. I guess this is why the mpeg is huge.

    Thanks again,
