    I have been using tmpgenc happily for some time.

    Now when I am trying to encode a divx file the output file wants to be m2wav.

    What is this and how do I get past it so that I can play my encoded file.

    You are selecting output to dvd. Tmpgenc is creating these files to be imported into an authoring program such as tmpgenc dvd author to creat dvd compliant files. Are you making a dvd or vcd, svcd ?
