I'm having issues with subtitles in ffmpegx in that when I rip my DVD to a VOB file with the subpicture/subtitles included ffmpegx simply doesn't recognize it... the instructions told me the popup menu would show which subtitles were available but it gives me 30 channels no matter what. I tried to rip my DVD to a VOB file (this time with subtitles removed) and a separate SPC file for the subtitles and integrating them. I simply can not get the preview feature to show me my movie with the subtitles and since my computer is no work horse I haven't yet tried to encode it to XviD because of that. Should I just convert my VOB to AVI before hand and THEN add the subtitles? ANy help would be appreciated...
