DVD recorder (DVR810-HD) is available at Best Buy and it come with hard drive with build in TiVO. Does anybody have experience with it yet? Is quality better or the same as Panasonic? Right now I'm thinking about getting this or Panansonic with hard drive due to lower price.
Would like to hear your inputs before I buy something.
Thanks!!

The product has been discussed very extensively in the tivo forum. One big issue. No editing. If you record a TV show, you cannot edit out commericals before making a DVD. If you record on another input, like a camcorder, you cannot edit the footage.

no editing? What's the point then? Who the hell would buy a HD recorder that cannot edit? Pioneer screwed up BIG TIME!

Oh really! No editing so I guess I'll go for Panasonic E80 or 100. Big disappointment for Pioneer!!
