Panasonic DMR-HS2 DVD Recorder?

Hello,
I'm interested in buying a Panasonic DMR-HS2 DVD Recorder. However I've heard about something called the "black level bug". Does anyone here know if it effects UK machines, or is it just a problem with the American recorders?

Don't quote me, but I'm more than sure that the UK version did NOT have the luma bug.

The HS2 is last year's model, you should try the DMR-E100H instead.

Thanks for the quick response, I wish I could afford the 100, but my budget is £600 not £800. The black level bug is the only thing stopping me from me from buying the DMR-HS2. If anyone could give me a certain answer I'd be very grateful

I thought it was just for early model E30s. My E30 doesn't display it though.

The black level bug was 1st noticed in the earlier Panny dvd recorders, like the dmr-e30, not sure about the dmr-e50 though. As 2 whether this effected uk recorders I don't know. The dmr-hs2 shouldn't have this problem being 1 of the latest machines out, I woudn't of thought so.
