  1. wil it be worth it for me to encode an avi movie (700Mb) to dvd mpeg 2? so i can burn it to a dvd???

  3. Let me tell you,i have done that converting for some time now,and compared to the usual VCD i used to make,the avi2mpg2 works out great.. I made my own templates for TMPGenc so i can have two movies on 1 DVD-R.. when i converted the avi to ordinary vcd and played it on my projector i could see all the pixels,but when i convert it to mpg2 and play it on my 123" screen it is very watchable compared to VCD.. thsi is ofcourse not a substitue for real DVD,but with downloaded avi´s it works like a charm..
    If it aint broke, don´t fix it.
