    Can anyone help, i have been trying to convert an AVI to MPG through TMPGEnc but keep getting an error come up i.e (read error occurred at address 0049f020 of module `TMPGEnc .exe` with 00002d0


    i have reinstalled TMPGEnc qiute a few times thinking that it may be that but it still comes up after about doing 6% of the file.

    My OS is windows XP
    running on an athlon 2400xp
    768 mem
    120 gig HD

    This is also a clean install of Windows XP

    I did have power dvd but i took that out, from what i have read about it this can cause alot of problems with TMPGEenc
