I want to edit my wedding which is on DVD. I use pinnacle studio8/Prem6/Videstudio. I can rip/convert to mpeg2 using vobedit. These files will play fine in windows media player. But when you try to use in any of the above edititing programmes they won't open and can't be used. I have searched several posts but all seem to say that mpeg2 should work or are they mpeg2v files. Anyway they don't seem compatable with studio8 whic is what i want to work in. Am i better converting to avi files and how do i do this?
To summeraise, basicaly i want to edit a dvd into pinnacle studio8. Does anyone have any ideas which way is best to transfer the file into pinnacle.
Any help would be mostly appreciated.
