    I was wondering what the proper use for a DVD-RW is? do I format the disc before using? or can I burn straight from opening up the package?

    And for re-writing, do I format it for reuse? or is it safe to use Nero's quick erase to erase the data?

    simply open and burn. you can use the quick erase in nero also.
