  3. Have you tried the Print Screen key (for full screen capture), or Alt + Print Screen (for capture of the window with focus).

Doesn't work on all systems (graphics card conflicts etc..), but should work on most Windoze PC's.

    cheers,
    mcdruid.

P.S. This just copies the captured screen to the clipboard - so you can paste it into Paint or whatever graphics app you use.

    Screen Hunter.

Allows you to draw boxes around the capture area, and your choice of capture dir., and picture compression.

I have been using Gadwin PrintScreen 2.5 for a while and it works great, and best of all, it's Freeware. You can save file as BMP or JPG.

  7. Printkey is what I use. Lets you save whole screen, active window and draw box. Plus can change contrast and stuff like that.

The unsupported version (5.10) is freeware.

I use swbcap (Software with Brains Capture):
    multiple formats (jpg, bmp)
    sequential numbering
    target save directory
    selectable base filename

You'll have to google it, the company's website doesn't mention it although the software links to it.
