Hi, I'm getting a new PC with a DVD writer and I wanted to know what kind of video card I should get so I can capture stuff listed above. The Dish Network unit is the one with PVR and has MPEG-2 on the outside of it and a S-video plug in the back. I hear ATIs are a good balance of capturing and gaming. Should I get an All in one or would that be unnecessary for the stuff above?
Thank you very much.

I'd hate to be pushy, but I really have no idea what I'm doing here. Should I get an ATI All in Wonder since I plan to record mostly from the S-video input? Is it worth it to get an All in Wonder over just a regular card since I cannot record stuff from sattelite live? thanks again for any help.

No ATI would be a good choice. Do you have a fire wire port on your current computer. I would recommend and would highly suggest capturing thru firewire if your camera supports it. I use the fire wire port on my Sound Blaster Audigy 2 to do this. Many software programs will have no problem recognizeing your camera thru firewire. USB is hit and miss and not the perferred choice.

I'm sorry for being so late, I've been busy, but the camera we have doesn't have a firewire port. It does have S-Video however.
