I recently obtained a copy of Scarface the uncut version 1983 dvdrip divx ac3, divided into two separate .avi files.
While I've successfully converted CD2 using Cucusoft, for some reason; I can't convert CD1. Each time I try to use a converter-- i've tried everything from Cucusoft to TPMEG-- I get an unsupported video codec or file error.
The seeming anomaly is two-fold: (i) why would I be able to convert CD2 but not CD1 though each originate from the identical source?; and even more puzzling, (ii) why when I analyze the file with either GSpot (did a chick invent this program; great name) or AviCodec does the analysis indicate that my computer DOES INDEED HAVE FOUR of the necessary video codecs for conversion?
Any clues on the contradiction or insights into why this godamn file has proven resistant?

Ain't it a ******* bitch and a half when you download something for free and then can't get it to convert to VCD/SVCD/DVD etc.
Damn that pisses me off
Oh well what can you do? ... maybe buy the DVD release?
