I have a Sony DV and Firewire card. I can capture very good quality AVI files. When I convert these to MPEG2 for DVD Burning the quality goes up the shi*s. I am using Tmpgenc to convert and usually capture with Windows Movie Maker, but all the other programmes I have give similar results. Can anybody recommend a good converter that will produce watchable results?
