Just got HD setup thru Comcast in Chicago. Long story short, the picture/color is waaaay off -- mostly a greenish yellow no matter what I try to adjust on the TV.. ?? i.e., watching the game last nite--yanks/marlins--could not distinguish dirt infield from natural grass outfield..? It was all kind of a 'rust-ish', picture.. for that matter, the whole picture is a dull green/yellow..

My TV is a Sony 34XBR910 and the HD connection from the box is hooked
up to 'video input 6' on the TV (5 and 6 are designated for HD) via component cables. Also, I can't change the screen sizes (asp. ratios) when watching 'thru' video 6--seems they are fixed for whatever is on, i.e., programs--w/s and commercials==f/s..). BUT...

When I switch the video feed from 'video 6' to 'video input 1',
the picture is very good/crisp/normal/still HD.. But Video 1
receives a feed from a regular yellow RCA jack from my Onkyo
receiver's 'monitor out'.. ?? And, I'm able to change asp. ratios on all programs. This is very confusing and I'm not sure if i'm explaining accurately or correctly.. and yes, I'm new to HD ..

A bit more info on my setup, just in case it's needed: 2 s-vhs vcrs, 1 progressive scan dvd player, cd-player with d/a converter---ALL running thru my Onkyo receiver... the only connection to TV is 'monitor out'.. Should i be running my Comcast HD receiver (Motorola box) to my Onkyo, as well? then to my TV?

I guess my question is 2-fold:

1. Why the green/yellow, dull HD pic/How to fix?

2. How/What the optimal setup for my whole system, now that HD and progressive scan dvd player have entered my system, ie., should my dvd player and HD set-top box also run thru my receiver?

Please advise.. thank you.
