  1. Hello, I have a KWORLD (KW-TV878RF-PRO CONEXANT 878a). The software that came with the tv tuner card called MPEG TV VIEW works fine but isn't that good when it comes to recording.

But when I use ANY other software such as Intervideo WINDVR or Power VCR II, I cannot autoscan, and I cannot select cable because when I do, it goes right back to Antenna when I hit apply. And because of that, I cannot change the channel on those programs. It shows "000" for the channel. I have cable television from COMCAST (regular cable).I downloaded al lthe frivers I needed to, and I even uninstalled then reinstalled the device.

I have WIN XP PRO SP1
    AMD ATHLON XP 1.4 GhZ
    600MB RAM
    64 VIDEO RAM

    How can I fix this?

I wish I could help. I had very similar problems with the K-world card(same modelas yours). Support SUCKS out loud. video capture was mediocre and problematic, at best. My solution? I brought it back, and exchanged it for a Winfast card. I'm happier.

Get the BTWincap drivers from the tools section.

  5. I downloaded the file named " btwdmdrvinstaller5.3.6-1.zip " from that site. I installed it, and I got new things to show up in my device manager. After reboot, I also had to reinstal lsome drives from the cd. Now, my TV APP with the card dosen't work, and the problem still happens in WINDVR.

    Any suggestions???!

  6. Does your cable system require a cable decoder box? I have the KWorld card & I know that was my problem with mine...

I have the same card with a similar problem. I installed the drivers and then the software that came with the card. I just couldn't get any settings to "stick" like with the cable vs. antenna. I tried to install the BTWincap drivers, but they wouldn't install properly, the computer kept trying to re-install everything when I would reboot. I ended up uninstalling everything and started from scratch. I installed the original drivers. Then I installed the WinDVR software that came with the card. I didn't install the TV Software and WinDVR appears to be working fine. I think it may be that the WinDVR is not really compatible with the TV Tuner software that is provided by Kworld.
