Why is it that different programs that claim to do a "FULL ERASE / FORMAT" of a DVD+RW disc... don't??
Yet these disc's when used in a program other than the one which did the erase will report that the disc has data on the disc and needs to be erased again??
Is there a standard fromat for DVD+RW?
The programs are:
"Aheads Nero-6" 'vs' ""Cyberlink "PowerProducer"" 'Vs' "Ulead's "DVD MovieFactory2"

Here's the way it was explained to me a couple of months ago.
"DVD+RWs self-format during the recording process. Hence, any software that claims to 'format' such a disc has their technical terms mismatched. Only DVD-RW discs need formatting."
"You should never Quick Erase a DVD+RW disc, you should only do a Full Erase."
"DVDInfo is the best program for such purposes. Never use the capabilities of authoring software."
Seems to work for me. I haven't seen anything to contradict these thoughts. Then again, I almost never put video on rewritable media for playback in another machine. -
