  1. Download a xvid movie and cannot open it. Ran it in gspot and told me all codec are installed and file render good. Try to play it in window media, tmpge, and panasonic mpge to convert and no luck.
Anyone know how I can open this movie to convert to mpg?

    Thanks

Lots of xvids giving lots of people trouble lately.

Have you done a search for "Xvid problem" - or similar - right on this page?

See which resemble your problem and go from there.
    There's no place like 127.0.0.1

you know what, do this, in the past ive only been able to load xvids and not mpegs, but i played around in my environment variables one day and stumbled upon an option that wouldn't allow me to load xvids and allow me to load mpgs, i haven't figured it out all the way yet, but now i am able to load both...take some time and play with tmpgenc...
