  1. I read that forty two developers read this forum, so here goes a wish.

A really rocking addition to forty two would be to add support for 2 audio tracks in SVCD. I guess about every non-English user wanting to do SVCDs would always use that option if it was available (so to have English, which is most probably the original language, and the dub).

  3. If i could have a wish it would be for forty-two to split the video in the middle in stead of creating one small image and one large one...

I second on that wish! Maybe even better to be able to set the point at which it divides, though that probably might be a little hard. It's an awesome program already (I use it for all my ripping), but that would make it even....awesomer!

  8. Ok, I actually take back my last statement. I got it to work (after 3 weeks of installing, uninstalling and huge frustration, alot of the blame goes to me). Now my "burn what's in here" folder has no sound and is over a gig, what do I do now?

  10. A DVD player that plays VCD's. This is the part that confuses me..I get two folders from 42, one that says "burn what's in here" and has bin & cue files (aroung 1.2 gigs) and a temp folder that seems to have the audio files (also around 1.2 gigs) is there another step I need to take before burning a VCD in toast?

If you choose to convert to VCD in 42, the bin files are normally about 700Mb max.
42 splits in as many parts as needed (depends on the length of the movie you are converting)

Are you shure you didn't choose convert to DVD?

You can burn your bin and cue files with FireStarterFX without any problem.

If you want to know if your DVD player can play VCD's, take a look at the DVD Players item on the dvdrhelp site.

  12. It splits the bin files fine (around 550MB) each, it's just that I don't get any sound in the movies when I play them on my dvd

What about when you play it on your computer?

im not trying to say you have not thought of this, but alot of time its stupid mistakes.

you sure your tv isnt muted?
if you have your dvd hooked to a amp or surround sound system (like I do) are you sure you have the correct switches/connections so that you have audio when your dvd is hooked up?
    is the volme high enough?

really what you should do is open VLC on your mac, go to FILE OPEN then hunt down one of the .bin's and have it play it.
if there is no sound then, then there is a prob.

again, never had this problem before so im just throwing out suggestions.
