I read that forty two developers read this forum, so here goes a wish.
A really rocking addition to forty two would be to add support for 2 audio tracks in SVCD. I guess about every non-English user wanting to do SVCDs would always use that option if it was available (so to have English, which is most probably the original language, and the dub).

never had no sound before. what are you using to playback the contents of the folder.

A DVD player that plays VCD's. This is the part that confuses me..I get two folders from 42, one that says "burn what's in here" and has bin & cue files (aroung 1.2 gigs) and a temp folder that seems to have the audio files (also around 1.2 gigs) is there another step I need to take before burning a VCD in toast?

If you choose to convert to VCD in 42, the bin files are normally about 700Mb max.
42 splits in as many parts as needed (depends on the length of the movie you are converting)
Are you shure you didn't choose convert to DVD?
You can burn your bin and cue files with FireStarterFX without any problem.
If you want to know if your DVD player can play VCD's, take a look at the DVD Players item on the dvdrhelp site. -
It splits the bin files fine (around 550MB) each, it's just that I don't get any sound in the movies when I play them on my dvd

is the volme high enough?
really what you should do is open VLC on your mac, go to FILE OPEN then hunt down one of the .bin's and have it play it.
if there is no sound then, then there is a prob.
again, never had this problem before so im just throwing out suggestions.
