A friend just bought a Panasonic VDRM30PP digital camera. This camera records using a mini DVD-RAM or mini DVD-R disc, and has also USB2.0 connection as an option to transfer the movies to the PC. Since neither one of us has anything that can read DVD-RAM he tried using the USB connection, but Studio 7 and Windows Movie Maker don’t recognize the camera, even though Windows does recognize it. Needless to say Panasonic’s technical support has been less than helpful.
My friend has a new ASUS A7N8X Deluxe motherboard, so I don’t think there is anything wrong with the USB ports.
If anyone knows what could be causing this problem I would appreciate any help.
