  1. Hi, this may be a little advanced for newbie conversion (then again, maybe not). I have an .OGM file with an XVID video stream and 2 OGG audio streams (Eng. and Jap.). There is also an accompanying SSA file (subtitles). I want to convert this OGM into an MPEG with one audio track and subtitles, so I can burn to a VCD.

Here's the problem (occurs playing the OGM and the MPEG):

There are 2 sets of subtitles! One comes too early and has ,{fs42} before every line (in mplayerc) and in some players (like mplayer2) it comes as just a , in front of the line. The second set is perfect, looks like bmp to me, and is perfectly in sync with the audio.

When i disable subs in DirectVobSub, the good ones disappear and the fs42 ones stay.... Also when converting, both subs get outputted...
the ssa is in the same dir as the ogm... same name (besides extension of course).

Please help, I have done this successfull with many mkvs, but they have the subs 'built in'. How do I do this with OGMs. I know there is a guide OGM TO SVCD but it doesn't talk about my prob..

In VirtualDubMod, i see 2 audio streams.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

-- the only reason this is in Newbie Conversion is that the OGM contains XVID video
I tried taking screens of the subs, but in the screenshot the window in the media playe was all black... and BSplayer captures also come out really messed up....

  2. Is there any subtitle filter besides DirectVobSub that can decode my ssa? I have VobSub, will those tools help?
