I have some OGM files with internal subs that will not display, not in WMP 11, MP Classic or Zoom Player. I demuxed them (for shrinking and hardsubbing for a portable player) and found Divx AVI, two OGG audio files and two SRT files in each.
One SRT file's a stub, containing only the subs for the first couple of minutes or so. (I've been finding this quite a bit in downloaded videos.)
No player has a problem with selecting either audio stream in the OGM files, their menus show the two subtitles but they won't display.
I've tried remuxing the video and audio as an AVI with the full SRT file external, and I can't get any player to NOT display the subtitles. I've tried muxing an MKV with the subtitles internal and they won't display.
AVI ReComp 1.4.6 had no problem with the SRT files for hardsubbing. Didn't have to run them through Subtitle Workshop like I have some to get it to accept them.
(And as usual, WMP 11 on Vista continues to be incapable of playing ONE audio stream in AVI or MKV files with two or more audio streams. I never saw this BUG in any WMP version on XP.)
