  1. I see that if I have Norton Cleansweep in the system tray then it will ask me if I want to log info that WinDVD is installing, into the registry. It is being installed under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID. It is called "ActiveMovie Filter Class Manager". I was wondering why this needed to be added to the registry, what it is for, do the entries pile up each time I watch a movie, and what can I use to clean out such obscure files from my registry? I don't want my registry to become bloated.

  2. Why? because it made that way to intergrate into window. If you delete that key, no guarantee WinDVD will functon properly.By the way alot of program do that, starting with Norton. Try deleting Norton keys and see what norton will do to you. Leave it alone!!! You should be more worries about cookies and spy wares in your reg.
