two days on pinnacle 8.10.3

Love/hate with pinnacle studio 8 for some time. absolutely perfect for combining, menung, burning say three 20 minute episodes of radeon aiw aptured madeline or pooh onto dvd with working menus.

But I always had murderously pre and post rendering audio synchronization problems with any captured mpeg over an hour,d espite all other programs having no problesm with same mpeg.

Installed 8.10.3... I can't believe it my mpeg2 oos problems are gone!

Miracle? somethign very bad going to happen elsewhere for the sake of irony? don't know but am quite happy for the moment.

I've tried versions 8.5.20, 8.7.7beta, 8.8.17 and now 8.10. It's great for editing and menus, but I've given up on using it. Nine times out of ten when I try to compile a DVD it works for 2 to 6 hours and then I get a error messages and the program shuts down- meaning the 2 to 6 hours is wasted.

Where did you guys find Studio 8.10? I went to their web site (pinnaclesys.com) and was only able to find 8.8.17 which I already have. Anyone have a link to 8.10 update?

Same here. I only use it now for creating short title sequence AVIs (the built-in TitleDeko is second to none), but all of my other tasks are handled by Vegas 4.0, DVD Architect, and TMPGEnc Plus, among others. Studio 8 is simply too problematic for serious use, IMHO, and the amount of time it's taken for Pinnacle to address these problems is completely unacceptable... and what's worse is, they still haven't fixed it!
