To Be, Or, Not To Be, That, Is The Gazorgan Plan
-
I have an aunt who just loves fullscreen dvd's. What's the deal? My cousin (her son) he's a closet fullscreen dvd watcher. He tells people he hates them and then buys fullscreen because his "...mother enjoys them more."
We always have to do what mother says you know.
About the article,
What kind of ungrateful piece of crap is this guy? Look at him. He's like 30 living with his freakin' parents and pissing and moaning over a damn dvd. He's probably one of those guys who visits star wars conventions dressed as wookie or something. Nothing like a thirty year old virgin sitting in his basement, playing d&d, jerking his gerkin, and wearing a wookie outfit! GET A LIFE YOU LOSER!!!!
In case you didn't notice... I have trouble getting along with people. -
I truly hope you guys realize what kind of site The Onion is.
Don't sweat the petty things, just pet the sweaty things. -
yeah, but does that moderator craig tucker know that there's someone in here expressing anti-wookie views?
-
That was funny?
Wasn't funny to me.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

There are those of us that get The Onion and there are the others whom are always upset because they don't get it, and know they don't get it, and don't understand how to get it.
It's a joke website folks: And yes, the article is funny if you are any kind of videophile. To Be, Or, Not To Be, That, Is The Gazorgan Plan -

Santa is DEAD!!!! All of his reindeer... DEAD!!!! The elves...DEAD!!!!
Dead from the relentless beating caused by ungrateful videophiles who can't appreciate a gift, regardless of it's usefulness (or lack thereof).
As far as sense of humor goes... I don't need to ask santa for one, my mother says I'm very funny. Your mother said the same thing... last night. Of course I could barely understand her with her mouth full. -
Can anyone give me a website similar to this one,
http://www.cesweepstakes.com/
that provides current event questions that are similar but is free...?
would appreciate the help alot. I tried searching for it but no luck.Check out my guide on converting .OGM format to an SVCD with Selectable Subtitles and Multiple Audio tracks.

And this current events site has what to do with this topic?
Seriously, I know what this fictitious guy feels like. Full-screen DVDs are evil. Full Screen DVDs are for "Joe Average viewer" and children. If you'll notice, only the movies that are supposed to be for mass appeal, and kids are even offered in either version. There was no full frame version of Matrix 1, was there?"I think I know exactly what I mean, when I say it's a Shpadoinkle day!" -

You're killing me..... -
Do people actually care about all the extra footage. Personally from all the dvds I owe I was only interested with extras on 8 Mile dvd. You see all these commericials and they talk about hours of footage but it's never interesting and I don't know anyone who would get convinced to buy a dvd because of the extras.
-
Hey Iove the extras! I watched all 3 hours of extras on the TTT EE DVD
-
Extras are crap mostly. I guess the company feels stupid about not using all the space on the DVD filling it with things that no one wants. I really enjoy out takes. Nothing more fun then watching half an hour of things that would have been funny if you were there to witness it first hand... ha ha they keep messing up there lines... Infact I take more joy and find more use out of dvds that show previews of other movies. Unlike VHS that forced you to watch or fastforward though the previews most good dvds put them safely away letting you watch what you might want to see in the future.

The story is funny it's like reading the new paper front page. Alot of old people like full screen and alot of them do not really even know what wide screen or full screen. My friend worked at FYE and he just ask you want full screen or wide screen that's it. It take's to long to tell people about it and if there old they still get the full screen.
I can see if some poeple have small TV set's get full screen but even when I had a 13 inch TV set I was a wide screen fan way back with Laser Disc. My Dad once hate wide screen when he had a 19inch TV set now has a 27inch flat screen TV set and now will only watch wide screen only. -

I have nothing against widescreen when it's applied properly (1:66:1) on a widescreen TV. But since I dont have a widescreen tv, I want to see the picture on my whole tv, even if it costs me a few trees or bricks in a movie. I dont like being forced to watch the movie in a lil bar.
I refuse to buy a movie in 2:35:1 because there's more black than picture and i've heard its' smaller than widescreen tvs/.
I have used blockbuster's satisfaction garentee several times because the widescreen was soo small on my 27 inch tv that i could barly see the movie with 20x20 vision. -
"Greg12" When HDTV take's over all TV set's will be wide screen and you will have black bar on the left and right when you watch a Full screen DVD 4.3
-
I like widescreen over pan and scan or letter box, because widescreen has everything in the proper aspect ratio. But letter box looks funny when everyone loks 8 feet tall.
oh well I am getting a wide screen soon anways so that is why I buy widescreen dvd's
-
Not a very funny article.
Widescreen vs Ful screen .. yes wide screen is generally preferred but like greg12 when its 2:35-1 its too small .(donnie darko??).. I would like a switch on my (old) tv to switch to 14:9 the so-called golden or safe mode. Big enough for squinty's and wide enough to keep most detail. Or cheaper LCD 30"Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.
