Trying to convert a VIDEO_TS to VCD, all seems to go well at first. After many hours of converting I get the following error:
[mplex] Unable to open file /DVD/Die2/bond.mpa for reading.

How te mend this? does any one know what to do in cases lik this?

    Thanks in advance,
    VSB

The [edited] process information is as follows:

Encoding started on Thu Oct 2 21:00:34 CEST 2003
[open] audio stream: 0 audio format: ac3 (stereo) language: en aid: 128
    ==> Found audio stream: 130
MPEG: No Audio stream found -> no sound.
**ERROR: [mplex] Unable to open file /DVD/Die2/bond.mpa for reading.

  2. The actual audio stream number doesn't apparently match with the coded audio stream number. If you already have the .m1v file, the fastest method is to use 0SEx in "Elementary stream" mode to extract again the audio stream, remove the .ac3 file extension from the audio stream filename (so as it will automatically get converted to mp2), then use the "Mux as...VCD" tool to combine the .m1v file with the audio.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the quick response.
I als get the applescript error (-2763), even though I have the latest version of ffmpegx and have it installed in root/applications. When I go along anyway, and proceedes as you advised (made new decription with osx, elementary stream, then tried to combine them with the mux as.. tool) I got the following error: 'unable to determine the number of frames in the source movie'.

    Any suggestions?

The process info is as follows:

/bin/sh: /usr/bin/mpeg2enc: cannot execute binary file
INFO: [yuvscaler] yuvscaler (version 1.7.0) is a general scaling utility for yuv frames
    INFO: [yuvscaler] (C) 2001-2002 Xavier Biquard <xbiquard@free.fr>
INFO: [yuvscaler] yuvscaler -h for help, or man yuvscaler
    /DVD/DIE_ANOTHER_DAY_D1: Unknown format
**ERROR: [yuvscaler] Could'nt read YUV4MPEG header!

  4. You seem to have multiple problems here. First, it seem mpeg2enc is not installed. Second, you've possibly not selected a VIDEO_TS folder but its parent folder. Third, it seem you're trying to encode again (and not just to mux with the mux as.. tool). Please follow up by email to major4@mac.com
