  1. Hello everyone. I'm a newbie so please bear with me. I d/led a couple of movies from the net and burned them. They play on my computer but on the standalone I get sound but the video is messed up. It's like the horizontal hold has gone crazy.
The files are bin/cue have used fireburner,NTI Pro 2000 and WinOnCD get the same results with all three. Have a BTC 8432 burner(which may be the problem). I have tried extracting the .DAT file converting to .MPG and burning as well.
    ANy help would be welcomed.

Yes,I'm a newbie at this but not for long. :)

The XVCD's I have made with WinOnCd don't play properly.
The SVCD's I have made with WinOnCd play properly, but no FF/REW
The SVCD's I have made with Fireburner play without any problem.
The copies I have made of VCD with Write2CD don't play.
I encode my MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 files with TMPGenc, simply following the guidelines of this site.

  4. TEMPGenc says it will take 6 1/2 hours to encode. Is this right?
