Taiyo Yuden CD-R 80, Inkjet Printable Silver, 100-Pack
I just ordered them from rima, along with 25pack 4x printable riteks.

What's the difference between white and silver printables? Please don't say COLOR

I never ordered or saw printables before.

Will the silver give a bright reflective look to the printed graphics? Sort of that metal paint look? Or just look sharp in Non printed areas?
Like mirror or chrome silver look?
Is the white more of a photo paper type look? Maybe matte?

I can always use more Cd's, and if I don't like the way they printed I can stick a label over it I geuss. SO for testing printer mods for disk printer I figured go for CD at 38 cents each instead of DVD at $1.40 each

But since it will be at least a week before I can print one, I am wondering what to expect from the silver top cd's? Also It'll be a few days before I even get them, just ordered a few minutes ago.

Since I am laying out the graphics for a couple 30minute DVDs, (svcd?) should I expect a look like a Christmas tree ornament after they are printed? Shiny and reflective colors? I'll be using dye inks.
Or will they look like any other printed media?

Since these 30 minute disks are gonna be for presents, I am hoping for a ornament type look.
Especailly since I will most likely make a few coaster, I can just hang those on the tree!!

Good questions, If mine ever show up, I'll let you know. But I'm sure that mine are still at least a week away too. I know the white Memorex I bought look like a piece of matte paper, and are a slightly off white color. Like some parchment papers. Nearly like an ISO80 or so brightness paper (you know the cheap recycled stuff). I hoping the silver printabes will look really neat after printing, hopefully just like silver foil labels look.

I just orderd mine from rima. I figure being I waited till the weekend instead of ordering Friday morning, it will be monday before they proccess and ship, and I nearly always get everything in 3 days here. SO I should have them thurs. or fri. I just won't have anyway to print them yet then. I might, but I dought it. Fedex tracking shows I should have the 1520 Teusday, Schedualed delivery date, but I think it should be here monday. Showed to be in Memphis last I looked. Normally I get it next day if a package leaves memphis night before.

This is my first order from Rima, so I'll see how it goes!
I actually wanted a 100pk of riteks, But I need to run a few through the burner first and see how they work. Player too!
Sample pack was $15, 8 disks, and I didn't care to try the other three brands for now anyway. SO I got the 25pk for $1.40 each instead of the samples at like $1.90 each.

Did you see my post about the Norcent DP312 not playing the disks I have already burned? They play fine on the Norcent DP300 still. Don't know what the difference is? Disks are cheapo leda/princo's but I never had a problem till now. I'll burn acouple of the Ritek printables right away and see if they work in the DP312, then take it back to wally world. It has a clicking/ticking sound playing any disk, I don't like that either anyway!
I posted it in the comments for the dp312 too. Hopefully the Riteks will work in it, and I just got a dud far as the other stuff goes.

If the riteks do work in it, I'll be getting them from now on! First player my cheapos won't work in!
