    For anyone considering this, I just upgraded from an AMD K6-ll 400 to an AMD Athlon 2400+ and did my first DivX-SVCD conversion.
    Old system - 17-19 hours
    New system - 2 hours 7 mins

    I went from an AMD K6 2 500 mhz to an AMD XP 2000+ and was staggered by the difference in encode times 8) I can encode to VCD in almost real time
