    I just edited a vcd file in virtual dub and had to save the new file as an AVI file format.

    How do I convert the AVI file back to MPG (VCD DAT FILE)?

    Converting from mpeg>avi>mpeg results in a loss of quality for every conversion. You're better off editting the mpeg and keeping it an mpeg if you can. Look up mpeg editors and guides in the "Edit " section. TMPGEnc can do it as well as others.

    If you must convert back to mpeg from avi then TMPGEnc can do that as well. Check out guides in the "Convert" section.
