  3. Well, you can just delete all VTS_04- stuff and then remove all references
to it form the other IFOs, by hand, using IFOedit, but be warned, that sure
    is a piece of work.

A simple method to do it and still keep the menu-structure is not known
    to me.

it's coming soon in my co-produced DVD Stripping tool

you can remove anything from a small as a single cell to the complete movie and just leave menu's!

what you remove is upto you

no more messing on looking at DVD structures or having a Guru Degree in using Ifoedit, it's just a simple point 'n' click removal that takes seconds and also has a preview of what you are removing

more info in this link.......link to DVD Stripping tool

While you're waiting for Mac's tool, you can use either CloneDVD or IC8, both of them do what you're looking for.

so do I, so it's ideal for people in the exact situation you are in now

as far as I know, nothing can offer both keeping the DVD structure valid and complete title removal apart from some complicated methods using various tools. I'm not so sure how Nero recode works regarding what it replaces with but again nothing can go further than Title removal. Whereas our tool not only goes to VOB ID level but to Cell ID level for precision removal. If it does prove popular then in time it probably be able to split a Cell but for now I'm happy with Cell removal as it can be used to great effect, such as end credits removal which are normally the last chapter. NOt only that but I also have other visions of what it should do and in time I hope to develop the tool to do a lot more than just removal

I just wish I could release it now as even in it's current state when used properly I can do everything I say here and on the Webpage

it's just the security and a few finishing touches that is stoppng me from releasing it (BAH!!!!!!!!!!)

    Mack,

Perhaps instead of saying "keep the DVD structure valid" you should say "keep the DVD structure the same".

Both CloneDVD and IC8 produce perfectly VALID structures, they're just DIFFERENT from the original disc.

sorry, I think I worded it wrong as I was talking about each tool and each having an issue but only referring one problem to each but I just didnt want to name names

IC8 does remove the video but still removes everything from the IFO and doesn't keep original structure due to it's remove of VOB ID/CELL ID's and therefore still has issues with fussier players when there is nothing to playback

clonedvd does keep the orginal dvd structure but also keeps the original playback time which ain't so good

I guess I could say mine keeps the structure but also adjusts the playback time and the best thing about it is that you can use any tool you want so you are not limited to your transcoding tool choice

and you can go further than title removal so your options of removal are far more precise

I just wish I could release the bloomin thing now!!!!!!!!
