  1. Hi, I just purchased the Pioneer 510hs and I'm having some problems getting a dvd to record - purely operator error, although I've been pouring over the manual.

I recorded to the hard drive, edited and made chapter points. How do I get it onto a DVD? The manual seems to cover a lot, but not the acual steps to record to DVD from the hard drive. I tried to play and pause but it wouldn't start to record. I tried to record first - thinking I would then start to play - but it started to record the blue screen and wouldnt let me make adjustments without stopping. I'm lost - will someone please tell me how to get going?

Also, chapter points (except manual) were not mentioned in the manual. I see they were not added to the hard drive recording - are they automatically added when recording to DVD only? What if I have already made chapter points on a hard drive recording - will it overwrite or keep the ones I made?

    Thanks for any help!

  2. Try something about "Copy List"

  3. Thanks for the reply, Donpedro. I finally found the instructions in the Copy section (as opposed to record, where I was looking).

My brother has a Phillips recorder and his features are so different from this one. For example he can edit an unfinalized DVD-R. It appears that all my editing has to be done on the hard drive.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of how-to type notes on the board from people who own this recorder.
